The drawings and paintings used on the pillows are all originals by Middy Thomas, a local Maine artist. These originals were printed on to cotton-linen fabric (by Spoonflower) and the pillow was made by local Maine sewist Sally Hipsher. Each one is individually made and no two are exactly alike. This collage is special as the artist had several watercolors that she did not like so she ripped them up and made a collage. If you look closely you can see trees, flowers and bushes in the outlined fish. The back of the pillow is cotton linen blend with matching piping. Most are 18 X 18 square pillows with zippers so the insert can be removed, and pillow cover can be washed if necessary. Wash gently in cold water, hang to dry and press for a refreshed look. The pillow insert is an additional $12.00 plus shipping.
